Barcelona vs Liverpool : LIVERPOOL -- Mohamed Salah has been ruled out of Liverpool's Champions League semifinal match against Barcelona on Tuesday after manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed the forward was concussed during Saturday's Premier League win at Newcastle.

Liverpool must overturn a 3-0 first-leg deficit when they meet at Anfield in order to reach the Champions League final for the second successive season.

But with Roberto Firmino already sidelined with a muscular injury, Klopp revealed on Monday that Salah will also miss the game as a result of the injury sustained when colliding with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka at St James' Park over the weekend.

Following a dominant showing last week in the semi-finals first leg by Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez & Co. last week, Barcelona are up 3-0 in aggregate. Meanwhile, Liverpool will be without injured star Mohamed Salah for Tuesday’s match.

Liverpool can still come back from 3-0 down against Barcelona, according to Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan, who believes the Reds are capable of winning the second leg 4-0.

Barcelona striker Luis Suárez has thanked Liverpool for raising the standard of his game during his three-and-a-half year spell at the club, but has said he is now focused on knocking Jürgen Klopp's side out of the Champions League.

Speaking ahead of the second leg of Barça's semi-final at Anfield, Suárez also promised there will be no repeat of his Camp Nou celebrations should he score again.
